Sanofi is hiring Principal Statistical Programmer – R&D

Location: Hyderabad

Main responsibilities:

Collaborate with junior Clinical Analytics Specialist, Statistical Scientists, project leads and other stakeholders to design, develop, document, and maintain multiple, complex R-based packages and RShiny applications, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.

Mentor junior CAS members, providing technical guidance, code reviews, and knowledge sharing to foster their professional growth and ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and propose technical solutions aligned with business objectives.

Drive innovation in R package and RShiny development practices, exploring new technologies, tools, and methodologies to improve efficiency and quality.

Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and guidelines for R package and RShiny development within the team.

Conduct performance optimizations and code refactoring to improve the overall efficiency and reliability of R-based software solutions.

Stay abreast of emerging trends and advancements in R programming language, data visualization, and web application development, and integrate new technologies into existing solutions as appropriate.

About you
Experience: Experience in R and Shiny programming, in a clinical data environment across multiple therapeutic areas.

Soft and technical skills: Proven track record of successfully developing, implementing, and maintaining complex R based analytic solutions.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Experience with agile software development methodologies and familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira), version control systems (e.g., Git), and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Education: Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.

Languages: Strong English skills (verbal and written), ability to exchange fluently in a global environment.
